I'm glad I can have this week to do giveaways that anyone and everyone can enjoy! I focus so much on complete immersion, but I hope all parents will let their children learn some Spanish, even it is just a few words.

Today's giveaway is Bilingual Fun's DVD series Spanish for Children. Mark and Jennifer Manriquez Jen created the Bilingual Fun company. They not only have classes in Michigan, but have created an award winning DVD series Spanish for Children. It received the 2008 Preferred choice award for Creative Child Magazine.

I was able to review both DVD's. What cute teaching videos! I learned great activities, songs and games that I would love to use in my class and with my children. They alternate between showing a classroom setting with children and real-life pictures and videos of the vocabulary taught. I love how they ask children questions and they have to respond. Volume 2 even includes a practice quiz to see if your children can remember the words they learned. English and Spanish are used throughout to make this a very comfortable way to introduce Spanish to children.

My favorite song was using 1, 2, 3 Chocolate to practice counting. My children love singing that song. Mark Manriquez plays the guitar during the singing. My favorite activity was how they taught colors and fruit. They had the children sort the fruit by their color by putting them in colored bowls. Parents can do the easy activities with their children.

Lastly, I have to mention, Maestra Jen has a blog and I love reading her ideas and games she uses as she raising her children bilingually.

Maestra Jen will be giving away 2 award-winning DVD sets. 2 people will receive the DVD set of both volume 1 and 2.

Volume 1 includes:
Los Colores (colors)
Los Numeros (numbers)
Los Animales (animals)

Volume 2 includes:
Los Saludos (greetings)
El Cuerpo (Body parts)
La Comida (food)

I want my children to learn Spanish because, being Latina, it Spanish is part of my culture. You can not teach culture without the language. :-) I want my children to be able to Puerto Rico and be able to communicate with everyone there.

I want my children to learn Spanish because we plan on traveling as a missionary family. We had our very first mission trip to Hermosillo, Mexico this spring.

Also, I'm Canadian, but have a US address, so sign me up!

Thanks for the giveaways and for all the info on your blog! Because Canada's official second language is French, I have a hard time finding great resources for Spanish.

We are trying to teach our children Spanish to help them in all aspects of life, especially in sharing the gospel!

Living in a small town with very little diversity, I think that making sure my boys acquire a second language and an appreciation of different cultures will give them a better sense of respect and curiousity about the people and cultures in the world.

I want my boys to learn Spanish because it will help them interact with others, get ahead in life and understand not only another language but our own language better. Plus I just love the Spanish language.

I want my children to know that the world doesn't revolve around them, and that life goes on, in different languages, all over the world. I want them to understand others' plights, and be able to feel able to help. Knowing Spanish can help so much of the world. Plus, I am a quarter Latina, and I would like to hold on to some culture if possible.

We recently moved from Michigan to North Carolina, and we hear Spanish daily here in our new home. My kids are learning the language at school (yay!) and have Spanish-speaking classmates. I want them to be able to communicate effectively with everyone around them, I want them to understand the culture, I want them to travel, I want them to boost their intelligence by being multilingual.

I've posted the banner earlier this week, but since this is probably the fourth giveaway I'm entering, I'm going to make another banner post. I don't see any of my friends entering to win. They are such wonderful resources.

We are trying to teach our son Spanish because we live in Texas and it really is necessary here. I grew up here and I don't know much Spanish, but I would love for our son to know more than we do.

Thanks for visiting my blog, BTW. Glad you enjoy it!

I want my children to speak Spanish because my parents and all of my brothers and sisters speak Spanish. I think that speaking a foreign language opens many doors for people. We also have plans to live in Spain for a few months and I would love for my children to be able to speak with the people there. I love the Spanish language!
