NO one has entered this giveaway?! This is such an awesome thing to win. Especially since my kids are learning spanish.
I speak French with my boys, but I'm trying to expose them to a lot of Spanish, too. Since my Spanish skills are EXTREMELY limited, I use CD's to make up for my Tarzan-Jane level of speech. My 3 yr. old only requests one particular Spanish CD . . . All. The. Time! I love it, but Mommy needs some variety! I listened to the samples & really love this CD.
btw, I hadn't checked your blog in just a couple days & was stunned to see how much I missed! What a wealth of info you offer :-)
Did you mean March 19 as the deadline?
I blogged about your giveaway here: http://foreignlanguagefun.com/2009/03/win-a-maria-del-ray-cd-at-wanna-jugar-with-migo/
Tati,
What a great idea! I am excited for this. Some of our favorite things to listen to include, "Inside Out", LDS Children songbook songs, Classical--Bach is one of my favorite, and just they other day I turned on a little Samba and the kids loved it. If you ask Johnny, he will say his favorite is Rock N' Roll--we use that term very loosely/mildly here though. Thanks again Tati--this is really a great blog.
I listened to Capitan Hello.
It was weird....but I liked it!
(Because I am weird)!!! I showed your site to my padre last night, and had him listen to us sing.
He LOVED it! I want a copy of the CD.
Ginger, you are so dedicated and amazing. Someday I will be like you, but my kids will be out of the house by then. My favorite music to listen to with my children is Brite music (I'm a Mormon), patriotic songs, Beethoven, and good dancing music. My husband and I love Ricardo Montaner.
We plan to expose our kids to Spanish while they are young. We are expecting our first at the end of the month and plan to play a variety of music in the nursery.

I just wanted to let you know that I posted this on my blog along with emailing it to a number of friends. Thanks again Tati!
This sounds great!
Right now we´re still listening a lot to the Habla Blah Blah CDs. I need to get something new...help!!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Great idea. I've found myself too undisciplined to speak Spanish to my kids... mostly because they don't speak to me back in Spanish. Although, I don't have a problem teaching it at work because I don't do it all in Spanish :) Maybe this will give some ideas.
Our kids love to listen to High School Musical, Signing Time, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and the Children's Songbook.
Fabulous! I love Maria's voice and would love to score this CD.
I listen to a lot of Spanish music with my own Maria -- everything from kid iMixes I make to Celia and Buena Vista and Dan Zanes' Nueva York. I also own numerous versions of Los Pollitos Dicen, which she is very sick of! LOL
Here's a link to an iMix of bilingual kid songs I made:

Good luck to all -- with winning and Spanish-speaking!
Jackson attends the Spanish Immersion school and really likes it. He's still not speaking it, but his teacher insists that he's understanding it. He loves the songs and rhymes they have learned and is always playing the Spanish CD his teacher gave him. I enjoy listening to it too as I get to hear the songs I grew up in played in Spanish and we learn some new ones as well.
Our Favorite CD's are Diez Deditos and De Colores from Jose Luis Orozco. My kids and I both enjoy his music so much.
I also use his songs in my Spanish classes at the elementary school. I don't play it for them but we learn them and sing them together with out the CD so we can go our own pace.
Here is my blog about your blogs! Thank you for such beautiful blogs.

Our current favorite Spanish language cd is Habla blah blah, but my four year old is happy to listen to just about anything I put on, so we also listen to some Seedy Seeds and Nicholas Megalis! I'm always excited to add to our tiny collection of Spanish language music!
Alrighty, For my spanish assignment, I will be in this contest too.
My favorite music to hear when I am with my son is Juanes! I love it cause I can enjoy it as well as him too, he loves to dance with me!!

Thanks for the giveaway Tati. One of my favorite collections of Spanish music is a CD and book called Diez Deditos. And I'm also a fan of Wee Sing!
Fun! Thanks for the chance to hear some new music.
For English I looove Elizabeth Mitchell. In Spanish, Jose Luis Orozco is so great :)
Right now, Phantom of the Opera is my favorite music
This is a fun giveaway! Ruby and I love to listen to primary songs together.
Deseo estar dentro de la participacion. Me agrada escuchar la musica latina y leer. Por eso el deseo de estar con el sorteo que ustedes van a realizar.
At this time, I really like the Wicked soundtrack. I am trying to save my money so I can go see the production in June. I think if I win this CD, I will love it just as much as Wicked!
This looks like it's getting pretty popular! Do I have a better chance of winning if I'm you husband? Just kidding ... We've had the CD for a while and we love it. Great blog, Tati! Love you!
I am thrilled to find this blog. You are inspiring me to finally get to that elusive New Year's goal I keep setting each Jan. 1: to be better at teaching Spanish to my children!
We love Jose Luis Orozco's "Diez Deditos" (as has been mentioned!) and "Fiestas" -- the repetition as well as the fun melodies entice even my 3-year old to sing along. Love it!
Other current family favorites: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and the Primary CD with the Articles of Faith on it. Isn't it marvelous to see the power of music as a teaching tool?
Thanks for the chance to enter this fantastic giveaway!

I have just posted about your awesome site on my blog. (It's private, so just let me know if you want an invitation...)
Thanks again!
The best way of teaching concepts, words, or anything to kids especially in another language is through songs. Use gestures and hand movements to teach the words and have kids repeat them... the moves will remind them of the words and the words will become their new vocab! and yes.. i wanna to GANARME EL PREMIO!
